Elizabeth discovered her vocation for childbirth education and support over sixteen years ago with the birth of her first child. She and her husband prepared for childbirth by taking a Bradley Method® Childbirth Education class and not only felt well prepared for the challenges of labor but for the challenges of becoming new parents. She was a Surface Warfare Officer in the Navy at the time but left active duty after the birth of her son to stay home. She loves teaching and supporting couples in labor. She understands the lasting impact birth has on women and families and how important it is to nurture this time in their lives. She has been teaching Bradley Method® childbirth education classes for over twelve years and continues to enjoy the intimate, personal setting of teaching small classes where she can meet the needs of each individual couple. She is a certified DONA Birth Doula and a Certified Lactation Counselor through The Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice. She has taught her classes in Florida, Italy, Tennessee and now Virginia and brings a breadth of experience and knowledge to her classroom. She is passionate about preparing couples for childbirth and ensuring they are able to make informed choices along the way. Childbirth is such an empowering experience with the right knowledge and preparation.
